Our Story

Having parents with Alzheimer's and Dementia made simple tasks like grocery shopping or going to the mall filled with anxiety. Our dad liked to wander and we constantly had to make sure he was where we could see him. It's incredibly stressful, not knowing if he might wander off and struggle to find his way back. There had to be a simple solution; ensuring that even if he did get lost, we could easily find him and keep him safe.

We had these requirements:

  1. A device that can be worn
  2. Simple to use
  3. Battery lasts at least 7 days

After not finding anything that worked we decided to create our own device.

3 Key Features

Our device had to have these key features

It is essential that they get the help they need if they fall. When the saluswear device detects a fall it will send a fall alert to all friends, family and caregivers that are on the pre-approved list of phone numbers to receive alerts.

Safe Zone

Your loved one needs to feel comfortable at home or at someone else's home and so does the caregiver. Safe Zones alert the caregiver or family members when their loved one leaves the Safe Zone.
